For enthusiasts of royal affairs, following the social media accounts of Royal Family members offers a captivating glimpse into their lives and engagements behind palace gates. From Mike Tindall’s jet-setting antics with his wife, Zara Tindall, to Princess Eugenie’s fascination with art, it is a chance to get to know the likes and dislikes of each royal.

Some social media handles are controlled by a team, whereas others are run by the royals themselves.

Express.co.uk shares some of our favourite royal Instagram accounts to follow…

1) Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie was one of the first members of the British royal family to maintain a public Instagram account. Eugenie, who is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Ferguson, married Jack on October, 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. The two fell in “love at first sight” while meeting on a 2010 ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland.

The Princess of York often shares pictures of her love for art on her social media pages. While the princess typically keeps her children private, she has shared sweet photos on her Instagram. Follow Eugenie’s for sweet snaps of her and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their two sons, August and Ernest.

2) Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Though Princess Beatrice’s Instagram is private, her husband’s is public, but rarely shares photos of the royal family – instead opting for mostly images of interior design.

He recently shared his “pride” for his “beautiful wife” who bravely shared her story of their daughter, Athena’s early arrival into the world in Vogue Magazine.

3) Mike Tindall

Mike Tindall often uses his Instagram handle to post about rugby, or in support of his wife, Zara Tindall at various social events and charity dinners.

He often shows off his jet-setting life alongside his family, and cheeky behind-the-scenes jokes and antics with friends and family.

The former England rugby star continues to be a game enthusiast, often supporting ex-players or sports stars in various fields.

4) Lady Kitty Spencer

Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer seems to live a social life—at least according to her Instagram feed, which is filled with travel pictures or social events. She often posts photos from fashion shoots, weddings and holidays.

Lady Kitty Spencer is the eldest child of Diana, Princess of Wales’ brother, Charles, Earl Spencer. She married South African-British multimillionaire businessman Michael Lewis on July 24, 2021 in Rome and welcomed daughter, Athena, in 2024.

She has been a model and ambassador for luxury brands such as Bvlgari and Dolce & Gabbana.

5) Lady Amelia Windsor

Lady Amelia Windsor enjoys a lavish lifestyle, complete with modelling and five-star hotels. Amelia shares many of her most glamorous moments on her Instagram, and has also modelled for D&G.

She is the second daughter and youngest child of George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, while her grandfather is the Duke of Kent, who is first cousin to the late Queen. Amelia – or “Mel” to her friends – is not a working royal, but has become a regular at London Fashion Week and has appeared on the cover of glossy magazines, including Tatler.

6) Princess Olympia of Greece

Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark is a fashion model, socialite and member of the former Greek royal family.

The model uses the name Olympia in every day life and is the daughter of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller.

She studied photography at Parsons School of Design in New York and appears to be pursuing a career as a model.

7) The Danish Royal Family

Behind-the-scenes snaps of the Royal House of Denmark are shared on social media, offering fans an insight into the lives of Queen Mary and King Frederik X of Denmark.

They posted a series of pictures following the King’s accession to the throne, often sharing pictures of ceremonial military uniforms.

“To take over for my mother without having to say goodbye at the same time was, and is, a privilege,” the King wrote on Instagram, referring to Queen Margrethe’s unexpected abdication at the end of 2023.

8) The Swedish Royal Family

The Swedish Royal Family, the House of Bernadotte, is led by King Carl XVI Gustaf, and his wife, Queen Silvia and their children, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine.

Their Instagram account offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their royal engagements – recently Crown Princess celebrated her name day on March 12, showcasing a special engagement where she received flowers from fans to mark the sweet occasion.

9) Prince Achileas of Greece

The third in the trio of Greek royal siblings is the youngest, Prince Achileas, 24, who gives off the most Gen Z vibes of the bunch.

He has become popular over the years and has built up a fan base over on his social media.

Prince Achileas-Andreas was born on August 12, 2000, and is a member of the former Greek royal family and the extended Danish royal family. He is the second son and third child of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and Marie-Chantal Miller.

10) Princess Alessandra of Hanover

Alessandra de Osma married into the Hanoverian royal family when she wed childhood sweetheart Prince Christian of Hanover.

She is known affectionately as ‘Sassa’ to her friends and was born in Peru to financier father Felipe de Osma Berckemeyer and former model mother Elizabeth Foy Vásquez, De Osma.

11) Zenouska Mowatt

Zenouska Mowatt is the granddaughter of Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Queen’s first cousin. Zenouska used to be the Head of Marketing at royal warrant-holder Halycon Days. Now, she is the Head of Marketing at Katharine Pooley, a homewares boutique and interior design and architecture studio.

12) Flora Vesterberg née Ogilvy

Flora Vesterberg (née Ogilvy) is also the granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, and is Zenouska’s cousin. She is married to Timothy Vesterberg, and works as an art historian.

She has recently been accepted into the PhD programme of The Courtauld Institute of Art – as shared on her Instagram.

13) Prince Mateen

Brunei’s Prince Mateen shares his military life and love of fitness and polo on Instagram and has 3.1million followers.

He is often found posting pictures of his skiing vacations alongside his family and his wife.

14) Pauline Ducruet

Prince Albert II of Monaco’s niece, Pauline Ducruet, is in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne. She has completed internships at American Vogue and Louis Vuitton before settling on her path as a designer.

15) Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland is the second daughter and youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Madeleine shares Princess Adrienne, as well Princess Leonore, and Prince Nicolas, with her financier husband Christopher O’Neill.

16) Prince Constantine Alexios 

Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece is the eldest son and second child of Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece.

Constantine, who is Prince William’s godson, regularly shares updates on his athletic pursuits on his Instagram and has racked up an impressive 162k followers.

17) James Middleton

Princess Kate’s brother, James Middleton, also deserves to be on the list – with his connection to the future Queen of England.

He often posts pictures about his wife, his life in the countryside, and, of course, his dogs.
