Hot weather conditions are likely to blast Britain, with the weather maps suggesting a ‘mini heatwave’ of 20C hitting several regions. WXCharts maps generated on March 29 using Met Desk data suggest that, on April 12, five regions of the country will likely experience sultry conditions.
The Met Office describes a heatwave as an extended period of hot weather relative to the expected conditions of the area at that time of year. The latest weather maps by WXCharts show areas such as Manchester, Cardiff, London, Southampton and Birmingham are likely to soak in the hot conditions.
The highest temperature of 21C may be seen in areas around Birmingham and Southampton, the weather maps have suggested.
However, the warmer weather will not be only restricted to the southern areas but even the northern parts of the country may see double-digit temperatures.
Areas in Scotland such as Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Newcastle are likely to soak at 10-11C during the same period, the maps have shown.
The Met Office’s long-range forecast between April 12 and 26 reads: “Weather patterns are most likely to remain slow moving through the middle of April.
“High pressure will probably be centred to the north of the UK, bringing a lot of fine and dry weather.
“If there are any interludes of rain or showers, particularly later in the month, these are more likely to affect the south of the UK.
“Temperatures are likely to be above average overall, and feeling warm inland with light winds during the day, although some cold nights are still possible under any clear skies.”
Areas to be impacted by the warm weather:
Manchester
Cardiff
London
Southampton
Birmingham
