Pizza fans have raved about a chain of takeaways that are dotted around the UK they say is “better than Domino’s”. Pizza is one of the most popular takeaways in the UK with a huge number of restaurants offering the delicious Italian dish to customers around the country. With any beloved food, people will have their opinions on which is the best. For many people, this takeaway is better than huge international chains like Domino’s.
Caprino’s Pizza has 100 restaurants around the UK and plans to double that by the year 2030, promising to become a chain of takeaways that we are all familiar with. However, it remains as one that many people have never heard of but for some diners who have tried it, it far outweighs what they get in Domino’s. Online, people have debated which chain of pizza takeaways is the best and one person called Caprino’s Pizza their number one choice.
Reviewing the chain on Tripadvisor, one person shared: “When these guys get pizza right, they know how to get pizza right. Best pizza in Oxford, hands down. Not to hate on Domino’s but I don’t order from them anymore.”
This person isn’t alone in their opinion. One Reddit user wrote: “Caprino’s are decent, [I would] rather that than Domino’s.”
Another said: “Caprino’s opened in our town a couple of years ago, and I haven’t had a Domino’s since. There was also a Pizza Hut takeaway that shut down after Caprino’s opened.”
A third commented: “Might be a bit more of a niche but I’ve had Caprinos when I’ve been down south and quite like them.”
New franchising agreements will see 100 more Caprino’s Pizza restaurants opening around the country including locations such as Cambridge and Kettering. Gul Nawaz and Khalil Rehman, co-founders of Caprino’s Pizza said in a statement earlier this year: “The UK takeaway pizza market needs a shake-up.
“For too long, customers have been uninspired and overcharged by the same brands. We want to change that by scaling our unique customer proposition that champions high quality, unique and innovative flavour combinations served at affordable prices.”
Caprino’s Pizza is currently found in major UK cities such as Newcastle, London, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. While it has 100 restaurants nationwide, that number is trumped by Domino’s which has more than 1,300 stores.
