Jon Bon Jovi confesses ‘I’m done with touring’ if one condition is not met | Music | Entertainment

Closing in almost 3000 shows, Bon Jovi haven’t tour since 2022 to allow Jon Bon Jovi to recover from surgery on his damaged vocal cords.

Two years on and the 62-year-old is over half way in hopefully being strong enough to perform live again.

Speaking with ITV, the rock star said of his touring future: “Well let’s hope so.

“I don’t know if you want me to hit the high Cs right now but the operation was a success. And now it’s all about recovery.

“We have a new album that’s coming out in June. I had no issues singing it.”

However, even with good intentions to tour again, he still has one condition or he’s “done” with touring.

Jon Bon Jovi said: “My hope is to, my intention is to. [But if I’m not at 100 per cent] then I’m done. It would be that simple. But believe me folks, thank you very much but I’m very far down the road of recovery at this point.

“I’m not there yet but for me that bar is two and half hours a night, four nights a week. That’s what we do. If we’re gonna play, we’re gonna play.”

The rock legend was promoting his band’s upcoming documentary film, which he found “emotional” to watch when viewing the rough cut.

Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story is streaming on Disney from April 26, 2024.
