Mrs Hinch fans have shared an “amazing” way to clean ovens for “sparkly” results – and it’s not white vinegar.

Oven cleaning is a laborious and messy chore that can take hours to complete. Often, cleaning ovens involves bending down and manually scrubbing which can put a strain on your back and arms.

Luckily, fans of cleaning sensation and influencer Mrs Hinch have shared their go-to method for cleaning their ovens – Oven Pride.

The Oven Pride Cleaning System can be bought from Morrisons for £3.50, Waitrose for £4.20, Tesco for £3.50 and Savers for £3.99. It is also available to buy online and from other supermarkets.

The product was recommended after Lilly Liassi posted on the Facebook group ‘Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips’ asking, “tips for cleaning the oven, please?”

The post was inundated with responses from Mrs Hinch fans with the most suggested response being to use Oven Pride.

Holly Bradbury said: “Use Oven Pride on the racks, stick them in the bag and use some of the product on the sides and the base of the oven using gloves to spread it around.

“Leave the product to work for up to 24 hours, turning the bag with the racks over every few hours and then wash down everything with hot soapy water and dry. This how I do it and I have a cleaning company.”

Sarah Yates agreed and wrote: “Oven Pride. Amazing. Did mine last week. So easy.”

Ailsa Marshall suggested: “Oven Pride. Once clean, get an oven liner for the bottom. Wash it once a week, that keeps the bottom clean.

“The racks I wipe as soon as they get dirty. This stops the need to thoroughly clean it. I hardly use it now though as have an instant pot and a Ninja air fryer.”

Morrisons shoppers claimed to love the product too with one person posting on the website: “Can’t believe this. Quality product. Actual Magic! Thanks Oven Pride.”

Another agreed and wrote: “After reading the reviews, I thought I’d try it. Must say, it’s brilliant. My oven is sparkly clean. It’s easy to use and has no nasty smell. I will definitely be buying again.”

Oven Pride claims to be a powerful all-in-one cleaning system that can tackle grease and burnt-on food inside ovens, according to the website.

However, while Mrs Hinch fans and Morrisons shoppers were impressed by the product, some customers who bought it from Tesco were left disappointed.

One person said: “I tried to use this twice now and both times it was useless. The bag leaks so dirty nasty oven liquid goes all over the floor. No, not for me, it didn’t work as well as Mr Muscle, so I’ll stick to that!”

Another wrote: “Cleans the racks well in the bag and cleans the bottom of the oven quite well. But because it’s a liquid, it just runs down off the sides and any high spots and doesn’t clean them at all.

“Drips out of the front of the oven as well. So I’ll need to get a spray cleaner for the bits it missed now. Not quite the all-in-one solution they would have you believe on the packaging.”

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans for cleaning ovens included using baking soda, white vinegar and washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and Mr Muscle.

Sandra Cohen said: “I just did mine with a paste of bicarbonate of soda, then sprayed with vinegar and washing up liquid. It worked well. I had to scrub a few spots with a non-scratching scourer and Jif as well.”

Maureen Murray wrote: “Dishwasher tablets. Put your racks in a sink or bath with boiling hot water and dishwasher tabs.

“For the glass etc use a dishwasher tab on a saucer with a little water and rub it in. Leave it a while and then clean off.”

Dagmar West commented: “Mr Muscle oven cleaner with a wipe over with a damp cloth after.”
