Argos customers rush to buy Steam Deck rival at massively discounted price | Gaming | Entertainment

The Steam Deck is without doubt my favourite current-gen console, easily beating the PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X. It’s probably in my top three of all time, battling with the likes of the PS2, Mega Drive, Gamecube, Saturn and Dreamcast. The fact that emulation makes it possible to play all of those consoles on the Steam Deck is another tick in the win column for the PC gaming handheld. While I’m happy with my Steam Deck, some PC gamers prefer the Lenovo Legion Go, which features a Windows operating system that more closely matches the majority of desktop computers. This arguably makes it more versatile than the Steam Deck, with easier access to services like Xbox Game Pass. The fact that it has detachable controllers like the Nintendo Switch is another reason why lots of gamers are drawn to the Legion Go, and why you could make the case for it being the superior device. If you like the idea of portable PC gaming and have been tempted to purchase a Lenovo Legion Go, then Argos is selling the handheld for the reduced price of £649.99. Just click the link below to take advantage of the deal.

The Lenovo Legion Go is available for click and collect at most Argos stores, and can also be home delivered (including same day delivery) for less than £4.

If you’re short on cash but are really tempted by the deal, Argos is also offering flexible credit options, including paying in instalments via PayPal.

The Argos website is showing that the discounted console is “in demand” and “selling fast”, so you may need to hurry in order to avoid missing out on this deal.

Described as a PC gaming powerhouse, the Lenovo Legion Go features an impressive AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor.

It utlises the company’s “Zen” 4 architecture to deliver speedy gaming, which is complemented by an AMD RDNA 3 graphics card for console quality visuals.

Speaking of visuals, the 8.8-inch WOXGA display features 500nit brightness and 97% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Needless to say, users can tweak the graphics settings of most PC games to get the perfect balance between frame-rates and resolution.

The 10-point touchscreen gives users the ability to use the display as a keyboard, although it’s worth pointing out that you can link it to your main PC and keyboard for further support.

One of the big selling points (and something that makes it stand out from the Steam Deck) is the ability to detach the controllers for multiplayer gaming on the go.

And Lenovo has clearly been paying attention to the issues with the Nintendo Switch, because the Legion Go’s detachable pads are designed to eliminate joystick drift.
