The adorable nicknames Princess Kate and Pippa Middleton used as children | Royal | News

Princess Kate and Pippa Middleton are two of the most famous sisters in the world. However, they had a fairly standard upbringing.

Despite the fact Kate is now the future Queen of the UK, her relationship with her sister Pippa, 41, is as close as it ever was.

As well as living together in the family home and attending Marlborough College together, the sisters also lived together in a flat in Chelsea before Kate, 43, married Prince William, 42.

The sisters reportedly still see each other often, along with their brother James, with family meet-ups taking place at their parents Michael and Carole Middleton’s Berkshire home.

While Kate and Pippa are now very much both in the public spotlight, this was not the case when they were children.

Instead, the siblings had a very ordinary childhood, with both of them attending St Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

The sisters reportedly had sweet nicknames during this time in their life, which they also used for their own gunia pigs.

During a visit to her old school in 2012, Kate asked students if they kept pets at school. She also revealed she used to have two guinea pigs with the same names.

As reported by The Mirror, she said: “There was one called Pip and one called Squeak, because my sister was called Pippa and I was Squeak.”
