A teenager narrates this absolutely vital film about what life has been like for young people in Gaza since 7 October 2023. Abdullah, 13, is incisive, quick on his feet and at times alarmingly indifferent as he shows the horrors around him. We also meet cooking TikToker Renad, 10, who stops whisking when a bomb hits nearby: “We’re not afraid, we’re used to it.” And Zakaria, 11, who dreams of being a paramedic, is determined to “find a way to fit in” by helping casualties; it is a relief to see him enjoy a moment in the sea. Most haunting still, following news of Donald Trump’s intentions for Gaza, are Renad’s words after the ceasefire is announced: “If Gaza goes back to how it was before, I’ll stay for sure.” Hollie Richardson

It’s time for another hellish stay in paradise, as the White Lotus in Thailand checks in guests for a third series of Mike White’s brilliant wealth satire. The new group of unbearable holidaygoers includes a near-identical gang of three blond women in their late 40s, and an “LBH” (that’s “loser back home”) middle-aged bloke in a Hawaiian shirt with his young wellness influencer girlfriend. Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins star, with Natasha Rothwell returning. HR

EastEnders: 40 Years on the Square

Ross Kemp, who is back on the soap, marks its 40th anniversary with this documentary. It’s a big reunion with familiar faces, including Anita Dobson and Pam St Clement, who remind us of groundbreaking moments including HIV and domestic abuse storylines. HR

Batch from Scratch: Cooking for Less

Joe Swash and home economics expert Suzanne Mulholland present a lifestyle show that puts struggling families through a friendly boot camp: it’s basically Eat Well for Less? where batch cooking is always the answer. The problems of the Powells in Hull – busy parents and hungry kids all chaotically and expensively improvising their own meals – might be horribly familiar. Jack Seale

The sleek crime drama continues with DCI Harry Virdee (Staz Nair) investigating the gruesome murder of a local Bradford woman, Priti Parmar (Sarah Pearson). Episode three of the controversial reality experiment, which sees a group of Britons recreate the perilous journeys undertaken by asylum seekers, in a largely ungracious fashion.
