Harry and William’s disputes sparked resentment over Charles’ response | Royal | News

Prince Harry has always been frustrated with how his father King Charles, handles family disagreements with Prince William, according to a Royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex is faced with a difficult decision this Father’s Day as he grapples with arranging a call with his father, whom he hasn’t seen in months. However, he is expected to send the King a “warm message” because “It’s easy to forget that Harry really does love his father”, says Tom Quinn, a Royal author and expert.

Four years ago, the Duke of Sussex swapped the UK for the sunny shores of Montecito, California. He and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior Royal duties just months before their transatlantic move.

Since relocating to the US, Prince Harry has only made a few trips back to his homeland, making the journey just twice this year.

In February, Harry hurried back to England after hearing about his father’s cancer diagnosis – during this short visit, he spent roughly 30 minutes with his dad. He returned again last month for an Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral but was unable to meet with the King due to clashing schedules, reports the Mirror.

As Father’s Day looms, Royal commentator Tom Quinn has shared with the Mirror: “King Charles’ birthday and Father’s Day are both a nightmare for Harry. He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father. He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message. It’s easy to forget that Harry really does love his father, he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute.”

The Duke of Sussex is reportedly grappling with a Father’s Day conundrum, according to Mr Quinn, as eyes around the globe watch to see if he will make amends with King Charles. Furthermore, Mr Quinn suggests that arranging even a simple phone call with King Charles is proving difficult for Harry.

Mr Quinn has made the astonishing assertion that Prince Harry’s efforts to arrange a conversation with his father have been met with hesitation. He claims: “Harry has tried to schedule a call with his father already, but his father is prevaricating with Camilla advising against anything that might upset King Charles.”

Anticipation builds as Father’s Day on June 16 nears, closely followed by the King’s birthday on the subsequent day, not to mention his actual birth date on November 14, when he turns 76, sparking increased public interest in the Royal family’s dynamics.

The Mirror has reached out to representatives for Prince Harry for comment.
