Amanda Holden’s five-word verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Amanda Holden says the British public “don’t care” about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Heart FM Breakfast presenter was talking after Graham Norton claimed people just want to let Harry and Meghan “live their lives” out in Montecito, California.

Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 61-year-old chat show host questioned whether the average Brits cared about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Graham also said the couple had “defied” Prince William and Kate Middleton who can “do no wrong”.

And in an unearthed 2023 interview, Graham said: “Do regular people care that much? I don’t think they do. I think they just think let them live their lives.”

On Heart Breakfast today, Graham’s 2023 interview was brought up and presenter Amanda Holden echoed the broadcaster’s thoughts on Friday morning. She said: “I think you’re right. I think the press makes so much of it but none of us really care.”

Fellow Heart presenter Jamie Theakston agree, adding: “I think we don’t care that much.” Harry and Meghan quit life as working royals in 2020, uprooting their family from Frogmore Cottage to the United States.

They have since sparked controversy with personal projects, including Harry’s explovide tell-all memoir Spare, which became a global bestseller last year, and their Netflix series Harry and Meghan.

Meghan meanwhile has also launched her own brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is set to launch its “big money spinner” product – a rose wine.

Meghan would join stars such as Kylie Minogue, Brad Pitt, and Sarah Jessica Parker in releasing their own tipple.

Heart FM Breakfast airs weekdays between 6.30am and 10am
