As Tom Holland’s Romeo and Juliet ends in London’s West End this week, the Jamie Lloyd Company has announced two more William Shakespeare plays with huge stars today.
Sigourney Weaver will make her West End debut in The Tempest for eight weeks only at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The Alien star will perform at the iconic venue from December 7, 2024 to February 1, 2025.
An announcement teases: “The legendary Sigourney Weaver makes her West End debut as Prospero in this enchanting story of revenge and forgiveness.”
Priority tickets are available from August 6 at 11am and you can sign up for priority access here.
Meanwhile, Weaver’s run will be followed by Marvel stars Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell starring in Jamie Lloyd’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
This will run for eight weeks only at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane from February 10 to April 5, 2025.
A synopsis reads: “Tom Hiddleston is Benedick and Hayley Atwell is Beatrice. Two of their generation’s finest actors collaborate with director Jamie Lloyd again in this savagely funny and beautifully tender battle of wits.”
