Snap-up Sky, Netflix and broadband at Sky’s best ever price

It’s 2025, it’s dry January and you’re probably wondering what will keep you going through these cold winter months. For many households it’ll be bundling up on the sofa with a new film or TV series to watch.

The streaming deals are soaring this early New Year and in rivalry to Virgin Media’s Winter sale and DisneyPlus’ eye-catching two months free deal Sky has added to the deals. As it cuts the price off its TV, broadband, and even mobile packages.

Sky is offering a great deal to see in the new year that will save you £120 off the normal price. The package includes Sky TV, Netflix and a Sky Stream box, along with Sky’s Full Fibre 150 Broadband – for £35 a month instead fo the usual £40 monthly cost.

Sky offers broadband at a range of different speeds, starting at 75Mbps and running up to a crazy 900Mbps. But for many people, 150Mbps will allow you to watch your favourite shows in top-notch 4K HDR quality via Sky Stream, while plenty of other devices in your house are online too.

This package comes with the excellent Sky Stream box, that will let you stream all your favourite shows from all the major services, but also has a trick up its sleeve as it delivers terrestrial channels over the internet too, so you don’t need a roof aerial, you just need decent Wi-Fi at home.

That package has Sky’s Essential TV which includes Sky Atlantic – home of shows like House of the Dragon, The Last of Us and Billions – as well as Discovery+. Netflix is also thrown into the deal, so you can watch blockbusters like Jackal, The Lincoln Lawyer or the new season of Squid Game.

If you don’t have a telly to watch that on, you can opt for Sky Glass for an extra £14 a month, so you know you’ll be able to watch those shows on a brand new TV with all those streaming skills built in.

If you just want that 150Mbps broadband without the TV, you’ll be able to get it for £27 a month – which saves you £48 over the life of the contract, as it was £29 a month.

If you’re more interested in mobile deals, Sky is also offering 6-months half price on data plans with Sky Mobile. That will snag you a 100GB plan for £15 a month, or a 10GB plan for £7 a month for the first half of the year. Note that this is for a SIM-only deal, so you’ll need to have the phone first.

Sky Mobile runs on the O2 network, offering great 5G coverage, there’s unlimited calls and texts on all plans, while data that you don’t use will roll over to the next month.

Calling the Sky Stream set a ‘fantastic piece of kit’ one Trustpilot reviewer commented why they decided to leave rival Virgin Media. As they said: “Been with Virgin Media for TV, broadband and Virgin Media O2 mobiles, left due to customer service. Sky Stream is fantastic.

“Really easy to set up, fantastic picture and sound in UHD 4K. I have 3 x connected to the Internet via ethernet cables and 1 x via WiFi…(soon to be etherneted up). All work great. So easy to set up and use after receivingin the post. Particularly voice control.”

While another reviewer shared the broadband package they have to run the Sky Stream off: “We are running our sky puck on our Sky super fast broadband connection 61 mbs. By no means the quickest connection these days but more than enough for Sky Stream.”

And a third said: “Initially I was not impressed, and about to return it. I then connected it to a brand new LG OLED in my office and was blown away. You need very good internet speed, otherwise you will be disappointed.

“UHD picture quality is very good and the UI very slick. My Sky Q was starting to show its age and I lost satellite signal owing to tree leaves during the summer.” As with any connectivity-reliant product it’s not been a glowing experience for all shoppers, however, as some raised issues with speeds and lag.

“We’ve had sky stream for about 4 months now and despite starting well, it’s now really lost its shine. We have two pucks. One seems fine, the other is constantly buffering, stuttering, and loading sync”, said one user.

While the Sky shoppers can unlock as much as £120 in savings this New Year, Virgin Media is offering a rival deal where £504 has been cut off the Biggest Combo TV and broadband plan – as it’s reduced to £69. Instead of the usual £97 mothly price the sale, however, the caveat being that this is a lot more expensive compared to the Sky TV, Netflix, and Sky Stream bundle.
