The Samsung Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra have been unveiled at a flashy event in San Jose. The three flagship Android phones boast premium designs with triple cameras for the two former devices and four for the Ultra, plus the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset on all three for – hopefully – cutting edge performance to match rival heavyweight devices the OnePlus 13, iPhone 16 Pro and Honor Magic 7 Pro.

These devices are also packed to the gills with Galaxy AI features that can erase people from images, rewrite your texts or emails before you send them to change the tone, Circle to Search anything on the screen to perform a Google search or create realistic images from a quick sketch with your finger. Add to that big, bright OLED displays and Android 15 with Samsung’s new One UI 7 layer over the top and you have some very capable phones.

If you are due a phone upgrade and like the look of the Galaxy S25, now could be a good time to buy one. Samsung is offering customers who pre-order double the storage, so you could pay £799 for the regular Galaxy S25 and get the 256GB model instead of 128GB.

That’s not a deal we see from Samsung’s bitter smartphone rival Apple. If you have been thinking of switching to Android, this could be the best opportunity to snag the latest and greatest.

All three phones are available to pre-order today, Wednesday January 22, and will ship on February 7. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is available in Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Black, Titanium Whitesilver and Titanium Grey, while the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus are available in Silver Shadow, Navy, Icyblue and Mint.

Samsung is also offering all three in three Samsung exclusive colours online including a Blue Black version that the firm says “covers every edge and every contour creating a unique finish”.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a new curved edge design that should be more comfortable to hold compared to the excellent but angular S24 Ultra. The new phone also has a 50MP ultra-wide sensor that can be used for up-close macro shots. 

All versions of all three S25 phones have the Snapdragon 8 Elite inside, a change from last year when the S24 and S24 Plus had to make do with Samsung Exynos chips.
