Caitlin Clark has the sports world abuzz with speculation about her Super Bowl attendance, after having been spotted in Taylor Swift’s suite during a recent Kansas City Chiefs game. A fervent Chiefs supporter, Clark shared a memorable moment with the global music icon as they enjoyed the playoff victory against the Houston Texans from the comfort of Swift’s VIP area.
Despite her absence in the Chiefs’ subsequent triumph over the Buffalo Bills, Clark flashed a grin when probed about her potential Super Bowl plans. She had just returned to Iowa for her ’22’ jersey retirement festivities, celebrating an illustrious college career, and during game commentary, she playfully teased about attending the big NFL showdown, saying: “I haven’t decided, we’ll see. I might be at the Super Bowl. I might not be at the Super Bowl. I don’t know.”
Her enigmatic response set social media on fire, with one fan confident in declaring: “She’s going. She can’t hide her truth. Lol,” while another was equally certain, commenting, “Okay yeah she’s definitely going”. The Indiana Fever guard’s friendly engagement with Swift, whom she greatly admires, has added to the intrigue surrounding her potential presence at the upcoming American football spectacle.
During a precious moment getting to know her better, Clark shared his excitement: “It’s just cute to see how excited she is for the Chiefs. Getting to share that, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I love this. She loves the Chiefs as much as me’.”
Speaking previously on Kelce’s ‘New Heights’ podcast, Clark delved into her roots as a Chiefs fan, saying: “I had family in Kansas City and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City, so that’s just the closest NFL team. My dad was a big Chiefs fan growing up. People think I’m like a bandwagon Chiefs fan, I’m like, ‘No, I was there before Patrick (Mahomes) and Travis’. We were ride or dies, so we’ve been big fans.”
In view of the upcoming Sunday showdown, the Chiefs are set to vie for a historic triumph by possibly becoming the first NFL team to clinch the Super Bowl title for three consecutive years, and they step into the fray tipped to triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles.
