iPhones users complain alarms fail to go off for days

iPhone users have complained after their devices failed to wake them up for a “third or fourth day in a row”.

The company says it is working on a fix after its flagship device failed to trigger its alarm – or it was too quiet, reports The Guardian.

The issue was first highligted by iPhone users on social media app TikTok.

One TikToker said: “This has probably been the third or fourth day in a row that my alarm clock has not gone off.”

While another added: “I’ve noticed for the past week or so my alarm just wasn’t waking me up.”

iPhone users complained the issue with their alarm was causing them to have issues with their timekeeping.

Apple said it was working to fix the bug.

And it is not currently clear how many people it has affected, or what devices were hit.

Another TikToker claimed the issue was linked to an “attention aware” feature on the iPhone 15. They said their alarm had gone off quietly.

The attention aware feature reduces the sound of alerts if users are looking at their phone.

If you are looking at your phone it also dims the display until you stop looking at it.

Apple’s advice page about its iPhone alarms tells users to check their alarm sound is not on “none”. It also says the “Sounds and Haptics” feature does not control alarm sound when set no “do not distburb” or silent mode.

Express Online has contacted Apple for a comment.
