Sky is dishing out Apple’s iPad at new price that looks very cheap

The UK network has just confirmed a new deal that has dropped the price of the older 10th iPad down to a price that looks unbelievably affordable.

Right now you can pop this device in your online shopping basket for just £11 per month – that price even includes 100MB of data should you need to send a few emails or messages on the move.

There’s also no upfront fee to pay.

£11 per month looks very cheap but it is worth digging into the terms and conditions before tapping the buy button. Like most Sky deals, this new plan is based on a 48-month contract which means you pay that price for 4 years.

Sky will let you switch to a newer tablet after 36 months although this will then mean signing another new contract. Do some quick sums and you’ll find this Sky deal costs a total of £528 over the term of the deal.

That’s more than Apple charges on its own store with the company recently confirming a price cut for this tablet down from £499 to a new cost of £349.

So, you will pay £179 more by going with Sky but you won’t have to pay any big upfront fees which does make it feel a lot more affordable.

As a quick reminder, the iPad 10th Gen features a speedy A14 processor, bright 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, fast fingerprint scanner plus full compatibility with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard Folio which makes it feel a little like a mini laptop.

It comes in a number of colours – including Blue, Pink and Yellow – has 64GB of storage and offers long battery life.
