Samsung’s Galaxy S24 gets more affordable thanks to surprise price drop

Samsung’s latest and greatest Galaxy S24 is a top-rated smartphone that’s not only faster but also smarter thanks to the addition of new AI upgrades. As you can read in our full Galaxy S24 review, it’s a very good device that offers plenty of power, a great camera and a premium design. If you’ve been thinking about taking the plunge now might be a good time to take delivery of this device thanks to a new deal that’s making the S24 feel a lot more affordable.

Mobiles.co.uk have just launched a new plan which includes the S24 for just £29.99 per month. That’s a low price but things get even better thanks to a discount on the upfront price which drops things from £99 to just £29.

You will have to sign up for a two-year deal but the total cost over the term is just £748.76 – that’s over £50 cheaper than buying directly from Samsung and that’s not all.

The deal includes a generous 500GB of 5G data, unlimited calls and texts – that’s not something you’ll get when buying from Samsung as you’ll need to add a SIM on top.

The only thing you need to be aware of is the contract connects you to the ID Mobile network which isn’t as well-known as providers such as EE, Vodafone and O2.

For those not in the know, ID Mobile is part of the Currys group and piggybacks off of the Three network. The service has won a number of awards this year including Best Network for Data and Best Contract Value for Money.

Before tapping the buy button it is worth remembering that Samsung is currently offering an enticing deal for anyone with a broken old phone in their drawers.

The Korean technology giant will give you at least £100 off the S24 if you hand over a device in any condition. This takes the price down from £799 to £699.

You could get an even bigger reduction depending on the smartphone you are happy to trade in.

• Samsung Galaxy S23 – £320

• Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus – £260

• Samsung Galaxy S22 – £230

• Apple iPhone 14 – £300

• Apple iPhone 13 – £230

• Google Pixel 7 Pro – £270

As a quick reminder, all of these new Samsung phones feature faster processors, bigger batteries, brighter screens and fast charging. The Ultra is also now made from tough Titanium and gets a boost to its quad-rear camera. One of the biggest changes included on the S24 series is the introduction of something called Galaxy AI. This offers an abundance of smart features including real-time call translation and instant picture editing.

Circle to Search is also now included which lets you find things on the web by simply circling a part of a photo. It’s also now possible to transcribe recordings and even add slow-motion effects to videos after they have been shot.
